Interesting information. Even though it’s off topic, wish someone in the industry would write an article about using the satellites Lidar, UV and different types of infrared or multispectral use. Or, provide a source of information for those of us who are not into drones but still want to make use of the capability of our over head satellites.
After watching the rise of the drones where they could cover so many square miles and see details from thousands of feet up it interests me. I’ve tried to use the USGS Lidar to cover my wooded property but am technically challenged and can’t figure it out. I had a lot of ideas about drones and satellite technology that only an ignorant person could think of just because I didn’t have enough knowledge to know what could be done or more importantly, what couldn’t be done with this technology.
