Big Plans for Drone Collaboration
The United States and Ukraine are in advanced talks over a new partnership that could change the future of small drones on both sides of the Atlantic. Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko discussed the proposed agreement early Friday, “We plan to sign a ‘drone deal’ with the United States. We are discussing investments in the expansion of production of Ukrainian drones by the U.S.,” she said. “That is, we are talking about the purchase of a large batch of Ukrainian drones.” Svyrydenko said that a political decision on the deal had been made by Zelenskiy and President Donald Trump, and that officials were already hashing out the details.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s recently reshuffled government has been tasked with improving Ukraine’s relationships with its strategic partners and shoring up its domestic defense capacity.
