A BVLOS rule could eliminate the need for a visual observer to remain on the roof of a building, a necessity which changes the economic impact and viability of DFR programs.

I do think folks need to be more aware of all that is happening in the DFW area. For drone delivery at scale we need more than just FAA rules. We need reliable, dependable and resilient infrastructure to support low altitude airspace deconfliction.
Drone delivery and DFR follow the same trajectory with the Infrastructure Inspections carrying much less risk based on the areas of demand.
Great article highlighting the need for BVLOS and the implementation of the rule. Delaying in the NPRM harms innovation and essential services that impact medical delivery, emergency services, infrastructure inspections and more, The first BVLOS in 2015 was intended as a pathway for wider BVLOS operations. FAA can do better.
